The last 250th ForCity Alfa tram for DPP from Škoda Transportation has arrived in Prague

On the 5th of February 2019, the representatives of the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) took over the jubilee 250th ForCity Alfa tram with registration number 9450. By this, DPP has completed the long-term contract for delivery of new trams of type 15T and this phase of the tram fleet modernisation has been finalised. First ForCity trams set off on their journeys around Prague eight years ago. The first 15T tram was handed over to the Prague Public Transit Company on the 28th of January 2011.


Israel sets up cyber security center to protect railway system

Israel Railways will build Cyber monitoring Center (CSOC) at a cost of 30 million NIS - Rafael Defense Systems Ltd. won the construction tender.

ISR officials estimate that "Israel Railways is blocking every month about 10 million intrusion attempts into its network, In order to collect vital information, and introduce viruses and malware".

Israel Railways is undergoing development, advancing to next generation, and preparing for the next Cyber era.


UITP Seminar on Smart and Innovative mobility in Central Eastern Europe: read all about it

On 22-23 November 2017, UITP organised a high-level international seminar on Smart Mobility 2020: Innovative and sustainable urban transport in Europe. The event took place in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia which is currently at the helm of the Council of the European Union and the EU Presidency.


Bulgaria : Public transport overview

The European Parliament (EP) published a study on the transport and tourism sectors in Bulgaria to prepare the mission of the EP’s Transport and Tourism Committee to the country between 18 and 20 September. The study provides analyses transport sector in Bulgaria and provides detailed figures and the breakdown of journeys by public transport mode.
