Modern ticketing systems, area traffic control systems and other ITS applications have given Urban Transport Authorities access to detailed data, in real time, about passenger behaviour and vehicle movements.  The conference will focus on how urban transport authorities are using data generated by ITS applications for strategic planning, service adjustments and network planning, and for performance evaluation.  This high quality data can also be used to support financial decisions such as allocation of revenue and costs across modes and across municipal jurisdictions served and for estimating the cost of concessional fares. Transport authorities and operators are pioneers in the use of data analytics to optimise service quality and control costs.  Practical applications of these data and analyses will be discussed during the conference.

This conference is co-organized by the World Bank Group and UITP with a support of IGKM Poland.
